Mincio Valleys natural reserve

This is predominantly marshland and lies along the middle course of the River Mincio, upstream of the city of Mantua and between Rivalta and Borgo Angeli.

Declared a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention signed in Iran on 2 February 1971, it is also part of the Natura 2000 network, set up for major nature zones in Europe and called Sites of Community Importance. It is managed by the Parco del Mincio.
