Virgiliano museum

This museum of modern art and archaeology currently houses two valuable collections donated to the municipality by the citizens of Virgilio: Ugo Celada’s modern art collection and Vincenzo Prati’s archaeological collection. The latter comprises cinerary urns and coins from Roman times, found from 1873 on in the area between Pietole Vecchia and the ancient Mincio riverbank.

The museum also has a section dedicated to the Roman poet Virgil.
