Palazzo Pastore

Built over the remains of a 16C building, until a few years ago, the imposing 19C Palazzo Pastore belonged to the illustrious family of Cesare Pastore, a patriotic hero who took part in the Five Days of Milan and strove unselfishly to help the wounded of the battle of Solferino, earning himself the honour of a Medaglia d'Oro.

Some years ago, the complex, together with the splendid park already open to the public, was purchased by the local council. Saved from speculative ambitions, recently commenced restoration is highlighting its elegant structure and refined wall decorations. The building will house cultural services, a library, meetings and other intellectual activities.
