Church Assunzione della Beata Vergine Maria

This church was designed by Paolo Soratini from Lonato in the first half of the 18C but remains of earlier International Gothic walls can still be seen in the late baroque structure.

The broad nave and two aisles are separated by marble columns and the ten side chapels contain fine paintings, sculptures, relics and wood decor. In the centre of the apse, behind the main altar, is a large altar-piece painted by a mature Titian depicting a mystical scene of the Resurrected Christ with the Virgin Mary on her knees, talking to Christ.
