Church of St. Maria dei Miracoli

This church was completed in 1517 and, in 1566, Pope Pius V transferred the care of souls from the church of Cipata to the church of Santa Maria del Frassino, where the Carmelite fathers of the Mantua confraternity officiated. The facade was revamped in Neoclassical style in the mid-19C. Inside is a venerated sacred terracotta image of a Madonna and Child of refined Renaissance execution, fashioned by an uncommonly gifted artist.
