Gonzaga civic theatre

Gonzaga has an age-old theatre tradition dating, of course, from the Renaissance and the great family that ruled over the Mantua area. Today’s civic theatre is in a part of the construction that originated in the early 1900s as a Casa del Popolo and from 1932 on was restored by the local administration. It has now been fully reinstated after a renovation project approved in 1999 and also serves as a conference hall.
