Built in 1668 and suppressed in the late 18C, this is now a convent-residence of the Barefoot Carmelites. The interior has magnificent baroque decoration with delightful stuccowork, fine wrought-iron railings and a sumptuous main altar as well as a good picture gallery. To the right of the facade is the old entrance to the convent, converted after suppression to a political prison.
A plaque marks the cells of the Belfiore Martyrs, who faced execution after receiving the final religious comforts here.
