Church of St. Maria della Carità

The first records on Santa Maria della Carità date from 1144 but the church was radically rebuilt in its present form in 1613.

The 18C interior has a remarkable picture gallery. From Giovan Francesco Caroto to Giovanni Canti, works by Francesco Raineri, also known as Schivenoglia, and a cycle of eleven paintings by Giuseppe Bazzani – among the finest executed by the artist prior to 1750 – this small religious building is a real treasure trove.
