Church of the Beata Vergine Maria Madre del Buon Consiglio

Better known as the Sanctuary of the Madonnina, this was built in 1804 and renovated in 1936.

It originated out of devotion for a picture of the Virgin Mary known as that of the ‘Torre’ because, in 1746, it was painted in a small tower owned by the Augustinian nuns who, during an epidemic, formed the habit of drawing water for the sick from a well facing the holy image.
