Built between 1748 and 1770, this church is much larger than the pre-existing Romanesque structure. Dedicated to the Holy Name of Mary, it was constructed in restrained baroque style to a design by the architect Nicolini. It has a facade with two tiers of pilasters (Doric on the bottom, Ionic on the top), separated by an entablature and surmounted by a pediment. The original window above the doorway contains a glass icon by R. Laffranchi.
The interior has a nave covered with a barrel roof; the transept is little more than hinted at. The church draws light through stained-glass windows of recent production. The paintings in the side chapels are older and often of fine execution. The 15 ovals crowning the altar and depicting the Mysteries of the Rosary are thought to originate from the previous Matildic church. The bell-tower dates from 1828.
