This church features the style peculiar to the transition from baroque to Neoclassical. It was commenced in 1730 and completed in 1762 for a certain Don Camillo Proci. It overlooks a fairly large and leafy square, and has a fine walnut door. The facade features four tall semi-columns with fluting and ten metopes.
Inside are three altars: the main altar, one dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the third dedicated to the Cross of Our Lord Jesus. The baptistery is by the entrance and the bell-tower is near the choir. Surrounded by the parish cemetery, it was dedicated to St Donato and St Vigilius as there were two churches bearing their names here long before this one.
