Like many similar country chapels, this church is classified as an oratory in reports of pastoral visits made by the various bishops of Verona. In the report of 1713, it is described as belonging to a nobleman, Count Francesco Maria Montanari Moratti.
When Bishop Grasser visited it in 1839, it was said to belong to the Micheletti family from Verona and that the Morattis had owned it since 1687. The oratory contains a fine oil painting of Joseph and the Virgin Mary signed ‘Giovanni Caliari 1843’.
