Church of the Annunciazione

The church of the Annunciation or of the Disciplines was first referred to in a document of 1640. It was owned by the Disciplinati, a religious confraternity also called the Celestini because they wore a sky-blue habit during religious services.

The part of the church behind the high altar, or sacristy, seems once to have been part of the choir and is where members of the confraternity were often buried. Traces of early frescoes can be seen in the small corridor on one side.
