Town Hall (former Palazzo Bonazzi)

Now the town hall, this building is laid out in the shape of a C and has a large rear garden. The building was never completed but begun in 1783 and abandoned in 1797 following the arrival of Napoleon Bonaparte’s troops. It was then given its present form by way of several later additions.

The buildings around the courtyard are architecturally less impressive, in a Neoclassical style typical of the late 18C. The interior was altered from 1866 onwards when it became the town hall.
