Convent of San Pietro and Church

This is thought to be the oldest monastic building in the Castiglione delle Stiviere area. Some sources say it was built in 723. It became the property of the Abbey of Nonantola in or around 752. The convent of the Servite Order seems to date from 1530 and was suppressed by Imperial decree in 1780.

The church is a small rectangular-plan construction with a nave but was extensively rebuilt in the 19C.
