This was built in 1608 on land donated by Francesco Gonzaga and served different purposes over the years: Jesuit institute, barracks, boarding school, school and currently Town Hall.
With the suppression of the Jesuit Order in 1744, the convent, along with the church and related assets to the Servites. The convent was closed after the French arrived in 1796.
