Church of St Pietro Apostolo

This church has the status of basilica and has also been a sanctuary since it became home to a popular image of St Mary of Health, a Renaissance painted-terracotta bust found in the early 18C on the outside surface of the village walls. With an exuberant frame, it is surrounded by paintings of the 18C Mysteries of the Rosary.

Dating from the same century is the monumental altarpiece on the main altar, in which Giuseppe Bazzani depicted the Delivery of the Keys to St Peter and a St Anthony the Abbott by Giovanni Cadioli.
