Church of the Disciplini

Built in 1587 and commissioned by the Confraternità dei Disciplini, this has a Renaissance facade. The present bell-tower was built in 1686 after the collapse of the previous one, coeval to the church, and the polygonal apse was added in 1741.
Inside is just a nave with remains of 17C frescoes on the life of St John the Baptist, to whom the church is dedicated, and a fine main altar in polychrome marble of 1772, the work of the artists Angelo and Giambattista Lepreni from Rezzato.
Deconsecrated in 1960, it currently serves as a venue for exhibitions and cultural events.
