Palazzo municipale di Castel Goffredo

Standing opposite the church of Sant’Erasmo, on the west side of Piazza Mazzini, the Town Hall was constructed in the second half of the 15C.
The facade is divided in two tiers: below is a loggia with a coffered ceiling; above, a first floor with a solid wall featuring four windows and a door leading to a balcony.
Inside is the Sala del Consiglio, with a painted ceiling.

Formerly a theatre in the 19C, it currently houses the municipal art collection, including 20C works linked to Castel Goffredo. In the stairwell is a sculpture by Ferruccio Bolognesi.
