The Oratory of San Michele is set in a U-shaped courtyard, now the town hall. The building, flanked by the canon’s house, has a facade inspired by the classicism of the late 16C, with a Palladian matrix: two corner pilasters with a central, partially panelled Diocletian window support an entablature with shelves and a triangular pediment.
The interior, with barrel-vaulted hall, terminates in the apsed presbytery, set on a square plan and surmounted by a dome with a circular base. Two rectangular windows with rich late-baroque cornices illuminate the interior. At the sides of the nave appear paintings of the Baptism of Christ and the martyrdom of two saints; those in the apse depict St George slaying the dragon and the Madonna and Child with St Joseph, St John and St Elizabeth.
