This theatre stands beneath the porticoes and was restored in the 1990s by the local administration, which has, in recent times, sought to promote it with regular initiatives such as cycles of plays and excellent concerts.
It is named after the leading playwright of the last century, Paolo Giacometti. Although he was born in Novi Ligure (Alessandria), he spent much of his life in Gazzuolo after his second marriage to the niece of the parish priest, who bore him three children. He died on 31 August 1882 in Nocegrossa. A plaque at the entrance to the theatre commemorates artist.
