Riserva Naturale Isola Boscone

This protected area, established in 1984 and managed by the local administration, is a wetland of international significance and, in 2004, joined the Natura 2000 Network.
The woodland only recently became connected to dry land and is one of the largest in the province of Mantua, comprising mainly old white willow trees, as well as silver and black poplars, common oaks, ash, field maples, elms and mulberries.
Access to the island is free and allowed all year round.
