Located a few kilometres from the River Po and 3 km from the Benedictine Abbey of Polirone, one of the most important Cluniac foundations in mediaeval Europe, dating from 1007, and chosen by Matilda of Tuscany for her burial in 1115. 20 km away is Mantua, home of the Gonzagas. Open Friday to Sunday. Closed in August.
