Villa Arrigona

Villa Arrigona has an artistic and historical significance among the rural villas of Mantua.

The substantial dimensions of the architectural complex, comprising a 17C villa with outbuildings, the late baroque oratory, the park and the estate, which is still cultivated, clearly convey the wealth and splendour of the Arrigoni, the noble family that commissioned it. Built in 1613-1622 to a design by the architect Antonio Maria Viani, prefect of the buildings of the Dukes of Gonzaga.
