La Balestra

This agritourism centre is in Gabbiana di Marcaria, in a strategic and privileged position in the verdant Po Valley, just 10 km from the beautiful city of Mantua. From here you can quickly reach several places of interest or visit the local nature reserves and theme parks. Accommodation is available at the B&B next-door.

The restaurant serves farm produce and has a set menu, which includes pasta, filled pasta, beef and pork, fresh and stuffed vegetables, cheese served with different kinds of mostarda, honey and jam. They also serve traditional Mantuan hot and cold desserts. Business lunches, ceremonies of various kinds, receptions, theme parties and tastings.

Directions: from the Brennero highway, exit at Mantova Nord and follow the signs for Parma on the Sabbionetana main road. After Montanara and San Lorenzo, and before Pilastro, follow the sign on the right to Gabbiana. Drive through the village and after about 2 km you will see a road called Strada Tosa on the left.

Nearby attractions: sanctuary church of Madonna delle Grazie, boat trips on the Mincio/Rivalta. Only 10km from Mantua and 15km from Sabbioneta. Open Thursday evening to Sunday evening. Phone for other times. Booking recommended.
