Church of St Maria della Gironda

This small oratory stands along the main road to Cremona. Restored in 1938, it was the chapel of the old Benedictine monastery, recorded from 1101 and active until the 14C. Its assets were subsequently assigned to high prelates, many from the Gonzaga family. Inside is a fine 17C altarpiece in sculpted wood and a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary in polychrome terracotta, dating from the first half of the 15C.

The oratory is a part of the 'Abbazia della Gironda' farm.
