Valli di Mosio

The villages of Valli di Mosio (Acquanegra - MN) situated on the high land on the left side of the Oglio and along the ancient Postumia way, surround these “Valleys” in which the natural elements of the countryside live together with the surrounding intensive agriculture. Excursions can be made among along paths and bridle paths in a particular environment from the biological and forestry point of view (alder woods, typha thickets); left over from the development of an ancient river bed, it was used for excavating peat until some decades ago and then underwent reclamation. The reclaimed canals and the last remaining “”skeps” not only contain important organic elements but also have a considerable value from the point of view of scenery, creating a departure from the boring stretch of vegetation characterising the area.
