This mansion belonged to the Gonzaga line of the Marchesi of Corte Grande del Poggio.
A solid construction dating from the late 16C-early 17C, it has many rooms, artistic spiral staircases and large basements. The oratory, to the left of the building, was constructed in 1672 “in place of the one that was there”. It used to contain a precious painting by Morazzone, now replaced by a copy. The Marchesi Gonzaga of Vescovato stayed here, especially in the summer months. Inside is the oratory of Santa Caterina, built by the Jesuits.
