Vallazza natural reserve

This lies in the municipalities of Mantua and Virgilio, and features recent alluvial deposits of clayey silt. These sediments have long been extracted in clay pits, resulting in the formation of numerous lakes, which have created significant wetlands of outstanding natural beauty.
