Records in the parish archives show that this church and the adjacent cemetery were deconsecrated in 1470.
In 1621, a bell-tower was built to a project by the architect Giovanni Maria Borsotti and the reconstruction of the parish church dedicated to St Bartholomew, whose martyrdom is portrayed in the altarpiece, was commenced in 1720. The altar to the right features two pilasters flanking a lovely 16C altarpiece depicting the Madonna and Child, St John and St Bruno.
The walls are adorned with stucco statues and oil paintings, including ones of St Joseph, St Mark, St Luke and St John, by Giuseppe Bazzani and dating from the early 18C.
