Descrizione

This oratory dates from the second half of the 15C. The bell-tower, 12m tall, has two bells and was added between the late 18C and the early 19C. The facade looks north, towards Corte Cavriana.

Inside is an antique wooden confessional and two alcoves: one containing a statue of the Immaculate Conception; the other a statue of St Catherine Virgin & Martyr, with the wheel of martyrdom. The terracotta floor contains the tombstones of two priests. Behind the simple and reddish-yellow stone altar is a discreetly executed picture-altarpiece of the Madonna and Child, St Francis, St Sebastian and St Catherine, with the spiked wheel of martyrdom. A coat-of-arms in the centre of the painting commemorates the noble Lanzoni family.
