Oratory of St. Carlo Borromeo

Situated to the east of Castel Goffredo, this forms part of a 16C mansion house built by the Gonzaga family, Marchesi of Castel Goffredo.
Constructed in 1615 for Caterina Gonzaga on the site of her father Alfonso’s murder, the oratory is a simple structure with a gabled interior, a presbytery with a cross vault and a stucco-corbelled altar.
