Palazzo Municipale - former House of the Governor from Trento

Commenced in 1774 to a project by the architect G. Dal Pozzo, this was completed in 1782 in accordance with changes made to the drawings by A. Chinaglia. Palazzo Municipale was built as the residence of the Trentino Governor and Chancellor and the seat of the local Vicinie, meetings of local owners for administration purposes. The steps on the facade lead, via a passage entrance, to the oval room where the meetings were originally held.
