Monument to Tazio Nuvolari

There are two monuments in the town to the racing-car champion Tazio Nuvolari, who was born in Castel d'Ario on 16 November 1892 and died in Mantua on 11 August 1953: a bronze bust at the beginning of Via Villetta, created by G. Menozzi in 1956, and a statue with a Bugatti beside it behind the Town Hall, by Andrea Zangani.
The 17C house where the driver was born stands in Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi and the corte where he lived is nearby at Ronchesana.
