In 1622, the Dominican friars took possession of this structure, built a few years earlier to a project by A. M. Viani. The convent ceased to exist and in 1787 the church and convent were restored by the current owner.
The precious furnishings of the church, including large paintings by Borgani, Facchetti and Marcoleoni, had already been stolen. In the centre of the cloister is a 17C well. The horse stables, now converted to a restaurant, were added in the 18C.
