San Matteo delle Chiaviche pumping station

Near where the Oglio flows into the Po we find the village of San Matteo delle Chiaviche, where we can still see the impressive dam built by Pietro Portaluppinel 1939 to prevent constant flooding. Near the plant is the documentation centre of the Ecomuseum “Water lands betweenthe Oglio and the Po”
