Quite long almost tarred track along Po riverbanks, with some stretches on local roads; beware of the traffic while crossing big roads and villages.

6 hours, including stops to visit nature reserves.
The itinerary is quite easy, but it takes all day to visit monuments and natural spots.
The itinerary.
Start: The itinerary starts at Busatello marshes, a nature reserve where Tartaro and Tione rivers and Canal Bianco – id est the white canal - flood into each other: there are marsh and fen vegetations, rich of cane thickets, and several passerines and migratory birds. After a stop in there, follow the local road to Ostiglia (km 3); past Ostiglia, go up Po northern riverbank, and stop after a while to visit Isola Boschina nature reserve. Then follow the riverbank as far as Melara (km 8) and enter Rovigo territory; Bergantino, Sabbioni and Castelmassa (km 25) lay along the wide Po bends. Cross the river (beware of the traffic on the bridge) to get to Sermide (km.30): you are back in Mantua territory. After the bridge, turn left to Caposotto (km32,5), then go up Po left riverbank to Felonica Po (km 37,5): pay a visit to X century Assunta parish, and have a rest for lunch. After lunch, go back to Sermide, then proceed to Carbonarola (km 53) along Po riverbank. Go on the local road to Carbonara Po, where you can see villa Bisighini, which is the present local government building. A little further, pay a visit to Isola Boscone nature reserve, which L.I.P.U. - an Italian association for birds protection - is responsible for: here you can see willow woods and some ponds where herons nest. Keep on to Borgofranco Po (km 56), which is famous for truffles. Proceed along the bank road: from the bend you can see all of Isola Boschina and the iron bridge across the river. Stop in Revere (Km 60) to visit Palazzo Ducale by Renaissance architect Luca Fancelli, Museo del Po – id est Po river museum -, and Young Museum (a museum of modern art). Cross the bridge to Ostiglia (km 63), where you started from.
