Alto Mantovano, that is the area from the North of Mantua to the morainic hills outh of Lake Garda, has a beautiful and varied landscape.
You will see Mincio, Oglio and Chiese rivers flowing through colourful wheat fields and orchards. You can ride or walk along the hillsides covered with vineyards. Local wines are more and more appreciated; also Vinitaly, the most important Italian wine exhibition, has recognized their quality.
When the weather is really good, you can see all the morainic hills, Lake Garda and even Mantua in the distance, from the top of Solferino tower, the famous Spia d’Italia.
You can also visit medieval castles, fortified villages and churches.
